Dynamical accretion flows and magnetic field in high-mass star formation
Abstract
How much do different physical processes in the interstellar medium — in particular dynamics, magnetic field and density structure — influence the formation of massive stars? I will show observational results covering scales of dynamical cloud- cloud collisions to collapsing star-forming regions. Employing studies from mm wavelengths (SMA, NOEMA, ALMA, IRAM30m) to the mid-infrared (JWST), the characterisation of magnetic field, density structure and accretion processes will be discussed.
