The Brightest Galaxies During the Epoch of Reionization in COSMOS-Web

The COSMOS-Web survey offers an unprecedented window into the early universe, enabling the discovery of very bright galaxies at high redshifts. Identifying and characterizing such bright galaxies presents significant challenges. In this seminar, I will discuss the latest results from COSMOS-Web, focusing on the brightest galaxies detected at z>9 and their implications for our understanding of galaxy formation and evolution during the Early Universe. We will explore the tension between the unexpectedly high abundance of these galaxies and theoretical predictions.
