Detecting Earth-like planets using radial velocities and photometry

Abstract

Understanding how planets form and searching for life beyond Earth are two key goals in exoplanet research. I will discuss how we can detect Earth-like planets by combining radial velocity and photometric observations, focusing on statistical methods to distinguish stellar noise from planetary signals. I will present results from ongoing surveys and the prospects for detecting potentially habitable worlds.
