Abstract

BlueMUSE is a full-field spectrograph for ESO's Very Large Telescope. With a field of view of 1'x1' and a spectral resolution of 3500, it will cover the blue region of the optical spectrum (350–600 nm), complementing MUSE. I will present the current status of the instrument’s development and the initial results of laboratory tests.
