Dynamical accretion flows and magnetic fields in high-mass star formation
Abstract
To what extent do various physical processes in the interstellar medium—particularly dynamics, magnetic fields, and density structure—influence the formation of massive stars? I will present observational results spanning scales ranging from dynamic cloud-cloud collisions to collapsing star-forming regions. Using studies ranging from millimeter wavelengths (SMA, NOEMA, ALMA, IRAM 30m) to the mid-infrared (JWST), I will discuss the characterization of magnetic fields, density structures, and accretion processes.
