The 2024 BIATSS Award for Excellence goes to Didier Boudon.

The 2024 BIATSS Award for Excellence from Claude Bernard Lyon 1 University has just been presented to Didier Boudon.

This award honors BIATSS staff for their outstanding contributions to the support and advancement of scientific research.

It is a well-deserved honor for Didier, who throughout his career has been involved in the design, fabrication, assembly, and integration into telescopes of major astronomical instruments such as OASIS, SAURON, SNIFS, MUSE, 4MOST, and HARMONI.

It also serves as a recognition and a spotlight for our teams, the CRAL, and the Observatory. The award was presented on October 23, 2024, in the Astrée amphitheater on the LyonTech-la Doua campus, during the 2024 winners’ ceremony.
