Understanding the first galaxies
Abstract
The James Webb Space Telescope has ushered in a new era for the study of the first galaxies. However, many aspects of early galaxy formation and evolution are still not well understood. In this talk, I will present our latest findings on the properties of galaxies in the first billion years of the Universe, focusing on what distinguishes them from their local counterparts and what drives their rapid evolution.
